Problems with Microsoft Excel and Other MS Office Products

Has anyone else noticed that around the March 19 time frame that the Microsoft Excel copy/paste feature stopped working right? Just one day randomly the copy or cut/paste feature wasn’t working correctly for me when I was working with MS Excel. I could copy things but the dotted line around the cell was now missing. It also wouldn’t copy the background color of a cell either.

I tried some things out on my computer and when I had closed my web browsers Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, then MS Excel would start working correctly again. I couldn’t figure out why this was doing this. One day it was really starting to annoy me so I really looked hard for the problem. Then, I found the solution!

The problem is if you have Skype’s Click to Call feature downloaded onto your browser, it causes Microsoft Excel and other Office products to not work properly. For some reason, it all started at the end of March. I’m not sure if there was an update to Skype’s program around that time? So, I uninstalled Skype’s Click to Call from my browsers and like magic, everything works again.

If you were banging your head on your desk like me and having trouble with Excel or any other MS Office products like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, etc.; just delete Skype’s Click to Call and it should take care of everything.
